Tania Moreno

Chief Marketing Officer, AC MILAN, Italy

Tania Moreno joined the club back in August 2022 as part of the strategic marketing arm of Redbird Capital Partners. She served as an advisor to the commercial team until being named the club’s first CMO in Oct 2023. She also serves on the board of Fondazione Milan. AC Milan is not Moreno’s first professional sports executive role as she previously held the Senior Vice President of Marketing role for the NHL team in Arizona. In just two seasons, Moreno rebranded the Arizona Coyotes, garnering a Sports Emmy, Cannes Lion, a Silver Clio, and Sports Business Journal nomination for best in sports social media.

Moreno jumped to the Coyotes from the US pet retail giant, PetSmart, where she served as the company’s Dog Customer Marketing Lead since April 2019. Before her time at PetSmart, Moreno spent over six years with Mattel Inc. in Los Angeles. She served as Global Senior Marketing Manager while working extensively on the Hot Wheels and Barbie brands. She led all digital initiatives globally including Asia, Latin America, and Europe, for the number one best-selling toy in the world (Hot Wheels). Additionally, Moreno was part of the team that helped rebrand Barbie in 2016, which today is still considered to be one of the most successful brand evolutions.

Moreno spent nearly three years at CBS Sports in various marketing roles where she was awarded Top Social Media Manager in Sports by Google. Moreno also guided social strategy for the Emmy award-winning series “Game of Honor.” Prior to CBS Sports, Moreno worked at the Burger King Corporation as Brand Marketing Manager and started her career at the famed advertising agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami.

The Swiss citizen, born in Colombia, and Miami, Florida native graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville before earning her M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
