Renata Barić is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb and a leading licensed sport psychologist with extensive experience in elite sport. As the author of over 200 scientific papers, her research focuses on motivation, leadership, and psychological preparation. She is the founder and head of the Laboratory for Sport Psychology at the Institute of Kinesiology, as well as the Psychological Counseling Center for Students. Beyond academia, she has provided psychological preparation for numerous Olympic medalists and world champions across multiple Olympic Games (London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2021, and Paris 2024). A licensed cognitive-behavioral therapist, she serves as the president of the Sport Psychology section of the Croatian Psychological Association. Throughout her career, she has received multiple awards for her significant contributions to the development of applied and sport psychology in Croatia.
