Rafael de los Santos has been deeply immersed in the Media & Entertainment & Sports industry for the past 18 years. Currently, he works at AWS, where he has spent the last three years helping sports industry leaders navigate their business transformation journeys.

Prior to his role at AWS, Rafael started as the Chief Revenue Officer for FC Girondins de Bordeaux in mid-2019. Before that, during 7 years, he held the position of Chief Digital Officer at Real Madrid C.F., where he led the strategic digital transformation of one of the world’s most valuable sports franchises. His responsibilities encompassed all aspects of web, mobile, social media, and data mining, focusing on maximizing digital potential and business opportunities for the club.

Mr. de los Santos established himself as a transformative leader through various roles. He led strategic business alliances as the Director of Partnerships, Alliances & Business Development for PRISA, Spain’s largest media company and same role at Microsoft (Xbox). At Microsoft, he also served as Business Controller for MSN and XBOX in Spain. His international experience includes working for Amadeus IT Group, a leading IT solutions provider for the travel and hospitality industries, in the United States.

Throughout his career, Rafael has demonstrated a unique mixedof financial, digital, and technology expertise, consistently generating significant business impact in his roles. He possesses a special ability to identify and connect synergies between companies, building high-revenue impact through new business development initiatives. Rafael de los Santos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Sciences, Economics, and Business Administration from the Complutense University of Madrid, as well as a Degree in Economics from Universidad San Pablo-CEU.
