Nina Šimunić Briški joined Genos in 2014, bringing expertise in research, project management, and science communication. Her PhD research focused on two interconnected areas: uncovering the genetic predispositions that contribute to injury susceptibility in athletes, and investigating how the intensity of physical activity and dietary interventions influence Immunoglobulin G N-glycosylation; a key modulator of immune system function and inflammation. This intervention-focused research was conducted across diverse populations. Nina holds an M.Eng. in Molecular Biotechnology from the University of Zagreb, an M.Sc. in Strategic Management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, an MBA from the Institute of Economics in Zagreb, and a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. As the Head of Translational Research, she leads multiple research projects exploring exercise and nutrition interventions, biomarkers of inflammation, and healthy aging.
