Mirela Kardašević (38) is the most successful Croatian freediver in history and holds a Master’s degree in International Business. She has been actively involved in the sport since 2018 and has achieved outstanding results on both the world and European stages. She holds an impressive 15 world records in both pool and depth disciplines, is a five-time world champion, six-time world runner-up, a three-time world bronze medalist, and a two-time European bronze medalist. In recognition of her achievements, she has twice received the City of Zagreb Award for non-Olympic sports, and the Croatian Olympic Committee honored her as the most successful female athlete in non-Olympic sports. In addition to her remarkable sports career, Mirela is also a mother of two sons (aged 13 and 14).
