Matija Teur is the Director and Owner of 172 Community d.o.o., where he is responsible for the operational management of the entire business, team coordination, key project management, and oversight of business and operational processes. As an entrepreneur and project-oriented professional, he draws on experience spanning business management, sports management, event organisation, and public affairs. Prior to founding his own company, Matija spent several years working professionally at SEHA d.o.o. (the regional handball league), where he held a number of senior roles — from assistant in the competition, finance, and logistics department, to Deputy Director for Finance, Logistics and Competition, to Deputy Director. In these roles he was involved in operational business management, team coordination, competition oversight, logistics processes, and key project management. Alongside his business career, Matija is deeply involved in the sports system and handball. He was a member of the coaching staff for the youth categories of the Croatian national handball teams under the Croatian Handball Federation, and in 2018 served as coordinator and ceremonies manager at the Men’s European Handball Championship. Within the sports organisational sector, he has served as a member of the Executive Board and Vice President, and currently serves as President of the Sports Associations Community of the City of Zaprešić. Matija is also active in public life. He previously served as President of the City Council of Zaprešić, and since 2025 has been a member of the City Council of Zaprešić and a member of the Zagreb County Assembly. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Project Management and Economics. His professional interests include project management, sport, politics, sports management, and community affairs.
