Associate Professor Ljiljana Fodor Đurić, MD, PhD, is a specialist in Internal Medicine, subspecialist in Nephrology, and an expert in arterial hypertension. She graduated from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, where she also obtained her PhD with a thesis focused on renovascular hypertension. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at University Hospital Centre “Sestre milosrdnice” and continued her subspecialty training in Nephrology at University Hospital Centre Zagreb. During her professional education, she completed postgraduate studies in Ultrasound in Clinical Medicine, as well as additional training in Doppler ultrasound diagnostics of vascular diseases and thyroid ultrasound. She gained extensive clinical experience through many years of work in tertiary care hospitals, particularly in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases and complex forms of arterial hypertension.Her clinical work is focused on nephrology, including the management of acute and chronic kidney diseases, complications in diabetic patients, and the diagnosis and treatment of urinary tract disorders and infections. A significant part of her expertise is dedicated to secondary and resistant hypertension, using advanced diagnostic methods such as 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, renal ultrasound, and color Doppler ultrasound of the kidneys and blood vessels.She serves as an external lecturer at the School of Medicine of the Catholic University of Croatia in Zagreb, where she was appointed Associate Professor. She is the author of several professional publications and the educational book “Sport and Arterial Hypertension – Do I Have an Athlete’s Heart?” and regularly participates in national and international medical congresses and professional meetings.Dr. Fodor Đurić is a member of professional societies in nephrology and hypertension and actively participates in working groups focused on the development of private medical practice and advanced therapeutic approaches in nephrology.
