Born in Zagreb on 9 April 1980. He joined GNK Dinamo at the age of 12, progressing through all youth categories as a player before going on to make 165 appearances for Dinamo’s first team. He spent 9 years playing abroad — 4 years at Dynamo Kyiv, 4 years at AS Monaco, and one year at Turkish club Bucaspor. In Croatia, apart from Dinamo, he also played for NK Lokomotiva, where he ended his playing career in 2016. He earned 59 caps for the Croatian national team and participated in three major tournaments: UEFA Euro 2004, UEFA Euro 2008, and the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He began his coaching career at NK Lokomotiva Zagreb in 2016 as assistant coach of the first team, before taking charge of NK Lokomotiva U19 the following year and leading them for three and a half years. He then served as head coach of NK Lokomotiva’s first team for six months. From 2021 to 2025, he was head coach of NK Jarun, competing in the First NL. On 1 July 2025, he took over GNK Dinamo U19, where he continues to serve as head coach, and from the upcoming season he will be taking charge of GNK Dinamo B team.
