James is VP of Market Development for BLAST, leading on BLAST’s market selection and entry strategies, and the mobilisation of strategically important destinations, long-term local partnerships and driving value for the host economy. James all leads on all fan revenue and promoter relationships for BLAST, working with leading entertainment companies such as AEG, Live Nation and Eventim to drive fan experience and revenue.
Previously, James worked in the Project Management and Business Solutions teams at FIFA, responsible for project planning and launches for all World Cups, including the FIFA Men’s World Cup. James then moved into a remit of managing and overseeing new products for FIFA, including innovative formats of events, world cups and technology suites, and the operationalisation, commercialisation and delivery of these in new markets.
Before this, James was responsible for the operational planning of over 100 events at Wembley Stadium, one of the UK’s most iconic venues, including England National Football fixtures, UEFA Champions League matches, NFL UK Games, and over 50 music artists, amongst many others.
