Frank Leenders

Frank Leenders, born in The Netherlands, has over 25 years of experience in international sports marketing at the highest level. He started his professional career with ISL Marketing during the 1990 FIFA World Cup, then joined the new TEAM Marketing company in 1992, where he was a part of the driving force and development of the UEFA Champions League – an international benchmark project – from the beginning of the 1992-93 season. He relocated to Rome to join Pay Television Sky Italia in 2001, where he was the director responsible for acquiring all sport-related television rights. In 2002, he returned to TEAM, where he became the general manager, and in 2005, he was appointed to the Executive Board. After leaving at the end of 2010, he became a co-founder of the independent sports marketing company, Value-Experience. In 2012, he supported the development of the media and marketing unit for FIBA, the International Basketball Federation in Geneva, Switzerland, and became the general manager of FIBA Media and Marketing Services SA. As a non-executive board member, Frank also supports and invests in several companies (start-ups and scale-ups) operating at the intersection of sports, media, and marketing.
