Dr. Dimitrije Cabarkapa is the Associate Director of the Jayhawk Athletic Performance Laboratory at the University of Kansas, part of the Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance.Guided by his background as a competitive basketball player, his work sits at the intersection ofcutting-edge sport science research and applied performance practice, with a strong emphasis ontranslating innovation into efficient real-world solutions for elite sport environments. Dr.Cabarkapa has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed publications and has presented his work at numerous regional, national, and international conferences. In 2024, he was recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) for his outstanding impact in sportscience research and applied practice. He has developed extensive collaborations with leadingprofessional sport organizations and academic institutions across the United States, Europe, andAsia. His current work focuses on the biomechanical and neuromuscular demands of professional athletes, physical and physiological responses to training and competition, and the practical implementation of innovative technologies for athlete performance monitoring. His overarching goal is to align innovation and practice through an athlete-centered approach that supports sustained high performance.
