I was born on 1 January 1971 in Zagreb, where I completed my education and graduated from the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb. I am a holder of the UEFA Pro Licence. I have been an educator of football coaches for more than 25 years and currently serve as Director of the HNS Football Academy, an institution for the training and development of coaches in football in accordance with UEFA’s Coach Convention. I am also a UEFA technical instructor and a long-standing mentor and educator. Throughout my coaching career, I have worked with all categories in football. For more than ten years, I worked on the development of young footballers at NK Kustošija and NK Sesvete in Zagreb, where these football schools continue to maintain an excellent level of organisation and work to this day. I also spent three years (2004–2007) as a football instructor responsible for the development of young players in the city of Zagreb, working under the Zagreb Football Association. I would particularly highlight two years of work (2007–2009) as assistant coach to Branko Ivanković and Zvonimir Soldo with the senior squad at GNK Dinamo Zagreb, during which time the team included Luka Modrić, Vedran Ćorluka, Mario Mandžukić, Eduardo da Silva, Igor Biščan, Robert Kovač, Gordon Schindelfeld, Tomislav Butina, and many other well-known footballers. During the tenure of Niko Kovač as head coach of the Croatian national team, I participated as an observer in scouting activities for opposing national teams during the qualifications for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Together with my colleagues at the HNS Football Academy, I serve as a mentor to many participants in coaching education programmes — individuals who, following their playing careers, have embarked on their journey as coaches and are building their careers in the profession.
