Barbara Matić

Barbara Matić is a Croatian judoka, gold medalist at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, two-time world champion (2021, 2022), and the current European champion (2024) in the women’s -70 kg category. She is also a two-time junior world champion (2013, 2014) and the 2013 junior European champion. Matić holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from FESB in Split, completed pedagogical qualifications at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, and successfully graduated from the IJF Academy. She currently serves as Vice President of the Croatian Olympic Committee (COC) and President of the COC Athletes’ Commission for the 2024–2028 term.
